Greenville Free Medical Clinic

Greenville Free Medical Clinic

The Greenville Free Medical Clinic is an integral part, the safety net, of the health care delivery system in the Greenville community. For 30 years, it has been our mission to promote wellness by providing compassionate, quality medical and dental care, health education and prescription medications without charge to eligible low-income uninsured Greenville County residents.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Patient Screener/Front Office:  Perform daily patient screening interviews, a core function of the GFMC patient experience. You do not need any experience in a medical environment.  The only requirements are a detail-oriented approach and a compassionate attitude.  Also help front office staff prepare for upcoming clinics, file and pull patient charts, answer phones, remind patients of upcoming appointments and/or cover the front desk in the absence of a staff member. Volunteer weekly, one hour or more, on Tuesday or Thursday, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Training is provided on the job.
